Just as I start growing a bit stir crazy at the close of my junior year at U of M, I stumble into the opportunity to turn academia into adventure: research and internship in Vytegra, Russia. For the entire month of June, I will be set loose upon the Russian Northwest, interning at the Vytegra Local History Museum and conducting linguistic fieldwork with the region's Veps population. This is the travel blog where I will record my trip in June 2010.
